Material Features:

Alloyed steel with best hardening properties and reduced critical cooling rate. CCV-120 Cr V is characterised by a lower risk of stress cracking and distortion this alloy is relatively insensitive to overheating.

 

Available in: 

Cold drawn and polished; 10-35kg/coil

Bars Ø 0-3.50 mm cold drawn and polished

Bars Ø 3.50-40mm cold drawn, ground and polished.

Standard length of bars 2m Surface roughness N6

 

Tensile Strength

about 750 N/mm2 (before heat treatment)

 

Standard tolerance

Diameter  ISO h8

Out of roundness/ eccentricity 1/2 of dia. tolerance.

 

Heat treatment

Hardening water 800-820ºC above Ø 10mm

Oil: 820-840ºC up to Ø 10mm

 

Cutting rate

15-25m/min (dependent on lubrication oil, the cutting tools, the form of parts)

 

Stock Range

Ø 1.00-40.00mm
