AISI 630 ~ Stainless Steel

 

Material Properties

Custom 630 (17Cr-4Ni) is a martensitic precipitation/age-hardening stainless steel offering high strength and hardness.  It has good fabricating characteristics and can be age hardened.  Best machinability quality is in solution P 800 (H1150M) and P930 (H 1150)

 

 

Corrosion

This alloy withstands corrosive attack better than any of the 400 series hardenable stainless steel, and in most applications, it's corrosion resistance closely approaches that of Stainless Types 303 and 304.

 

Execution

Bars: Cold drawn, ground and polished.  Standard length of bars :3m

Surface roughness N5-N6 or in coils for (Escomatic machines)

 

 

Tolerance

Standard ISO h7 (some sizes ISO h8)

 

 

Heat Treatment

Hardening condition P800 or P930 has to be solution annealed before hardening

Max obtainable hardness 44 HRC (for more details please turn over)

 

 

Mechanical Properties

Tensile strength at delivery form approx 800-110 N/mm2

 

 

Cutting rate

45-65m/min (approx value depending on the lubrication oil, the cutting tools, the shape of parts)

 

 

Range of dimension

2.10 to 16.00mm round full material in stock, other dimension on request
