In bars for automatic lathes of 3m (2m) lengths or in coils for ESCOMATIC machines

Tensile strength (Rm)

Standard 490-680 N/mm2

 

Heat Treatment

Case hardening, superficial hardening and heart hardening possible.

Hardening Temperature (heart): 850-880 C

Hardening Temperature (superficial): 810-840 C

Tempering Temperature: 170-210 C

 

Obtainable Hardeness

Approx 45 HRC depending on method used.

 

Cutting Rate

30 to 50 m/min (approx value, depending on the lubrication oil, the cutting tools, the shape of parts etc)
