WS 1.1268 +Pb Steel - Hardenable Free Cutting

Material Features

Law 100Pb combines the characteristics of a pure tool steel and a free-cutting steel, in order to improve the toughness the S-content is not as high as with a pure free-cutting steel.  The machining properties have not only been improved by the S and Pb content, but by distinct measures taken during melting and heat treatment of the steel and with help of a favorable balanced tensile range in cold drawn execution adapted to the final sizes.
