Aluminum 2014A 

Is a precipitation hardening alloy with fair corrosion resistance, high electrical conductivity, and good machinability. As one of the strongest aluminium alloys on the commercial market, 2014A Aluminium 2014A is heavily used in the manufacture of aircraft and truck parts, as well as in forging .

2024 Aluminium

Is a high strength precipitation age hardening alloy with excellent fatigue resistance and durability. Used typically in structural, aircraft, component manufacture, as well as hardware applications, aluminium 2024 is one of the strongest metals available. Standard specifications for 2024 include AMS 4037,  AMS 4120 and more.

Aluminium 2618 / Aluminium 2618A

Is a highly ductile alloy featuring exceptional strength and good corrosion resistance properties. Its highly machinable property makes aluminium 2618 materials an excellent metal for use in jet engines, structural and tubing applications, and auto sports. 

2618 Aluminum is probably most known amongst auto enthusiasts who turn to the 2618 aluminum piston due to its ability to absorb a large amount of extreme heat, while taking minimal damage. AL 2618 is composed mainly of Aluminum, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, and Nickel and standard specifications include DIN 3.1924, DTD 717A, MSRR 8018 

Aluminium 2618 was the main grade used on Aérospatiale / BAC Concorde, 2618 being the only grade to tolerate the high temperature due to supersonic flight.

Aluminium 5083 

Is known for exceptional performance in extreme environments. 5083 is highly resistant to attack by both seawater and industrial chemical environments.

Aluminium alloy 6082

Is a medium strength alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. It has the highest strength of the 6000 series alloys. Alloy 6082 is known as a structural alloy.

 In plate form, 6082 is the alloy most commonly used for machining. the higher strength of 6082 has seen it replace 6061 in many applications. The addition of a large amount of manganese controls the grain structure which in turn results in a stronger alloy.
It is difficult to produce thin walled, complicated extrusion shapes in alloy 6082. The extruded surface finish is not as smooth as other similar strength alloys in the 6000 series.
In the T6 and T651 temper, alloy 6082 machines well and produces tight coils of swarf when chip breakers are used.
